A plentitude of speakers presented topics in relation to opportunities, upcoming projects and their importance within job creation and growth. It was repeatedly emphasized that the creation of local jobs is in focus. The infrastructure, including extending runways, will create tourism and increased construction activity in relation to hotels, but also activities in terms of adventure offerings for tourists. There was great awareness of partnerships in relation to major investments. The major urban renewal project in Nuuk: “Nuuk City Development” also became a major focus on the conference. Nuuk wants to ensure economic growth and good living conditions, but also want to attract citizens from near and far with the skills the city needs. The conference consisted of participants from the business community, the public sector and research. There were presentations and debates and discussions that all balance between the population in Greenland and the growth which the business community contributes to.
