A future in Greenland with mining and/or oil extraction actualises the need for locally anchored skills. Arctic Consensus is therefore working on supporting the anchorage of knowledge in Greenland, notably by examining the possibility of establishing a knowledge center in Nuuk. This is done in close cooperation with the University of Greenland.
Arctic Consensus assesses that a knowledge center in Greenland can be a growth center for Arctic business, education, research and innovation with a mix of Greenland based knowledge companies, Greenlandic researchers, students and international companies.
Firstly, Arctic Consensus is collecting knowledge and experiences from places where the cooperation between business and university works best. Then, a participatory process in Greenland will take place, so that knowkledge and experiences can be adapted to a Greenlandic approach.
