Arctic Business Network is set to host a network meeting on the Greenlandic economy, where chairman on the Economic Council, professor in economy Torben M. Andersen, Århus University, will present the findings in the latest report from the Economic Council.

The network meeting is on monday, the 18th September, and will take place from 3 pm – 5 pm at the Arctic House, Vesterbro 79, 9000 Aalborg. The focus will be on the lastest news regarding the Greenlandic economy.

Several reports have been published on the Greenlandic economy the last few years. These reports have in unison told of a growing economy that balances on a knifes edge.

The Greenlandic demography is undergoing changes resulting in more elders and fewer taxpayers. Meanwhile, the growth is vulnerable to fluctuating prices on fish as well as challenges relating to education and skills.

The theme of this years report from the Economic Councils is the fishery- and education policies – which undoubtedly will be subjected to reforms.
