In October during European Week of Regions and Cities held in Brussels, we – Arctic Consensus as representatives of the North region of Denmark – together with other Nordic regions will host a seminar with focus on sustainable development in the Arctic.

The European Week of Regions and Cities is an annual four-day event during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create and generate growth and employments, and to implement European Union cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance.

During the four-day event the 8th – 11th of October this year over 6.000 participants, local, regional, national and European decision-makers and experts are expected to attend in more than 100 workshops and debates, exhibitions and networking opportunities.

This year, the organizers are inviting all to participate in shaping the program – by voting you can to.

The session Arctic Consensus is coordinating is titled: “Sustainable development of the Arctic region for the benefit of Europe” under the theme “Territorial development: regional, urban, rural”.
