Arctic Consensus were, together with the rest of the busines delegation, invited to a meeting with the University of the Faroe Islands on collaborations between research and business, and on which methods generate value and research results at the benefit of students, researchers and businesses in the arctic societies.

The delegation was welcomed by rector Chich Collins who presented the university and its future strategy and mission. One the sub-goals of their 2020-2024 strategy is to improve their external relations and communication.

After this, a presentation was given by prorector Magni Mohr, who told about the university’s focus areas in research as well as the establishment of a research unit. Hereafter, assisting professor, Árni Jóhan Petersen, gave a presentation on the university’s collaborations and external relations.

A concluding dialogue on sharing experiences and knowledge between the university and delegation was held. It focused on collaboration and cooperation between universities and businesses.
