Come and join us to the vernissage of the Greenlandic-North Jutlandic artworks on August 26th at 2:30 pm in Musikkens Hus.
In connection with the Greenlandic Days in Alborg 2017, two artists were invited to create two pieces of work each, which can be sold to those interested. The artworks will be exhibited in Musikkens Hus in Aalborg at the vernissage on August 26th at 2:30 pm.
The mayor Asii Chemniz Narup from Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq will hold a speech, during the vernissage. Nina Kreutzmann Jørgensen and Frederik Elsner “F” will entertain the audience with music.
All are welcome to participate, and enjoy the beautiful artworks and entertainment.
The vernissage originates from the intercultural meetings and close collaboration between the Greenlander Aka Høegh and Danish Peter Max-Jakobsen, who together with the printer Niels Peitersen, have prepared two pieces of art each.
The artists experienced both an exciting, unique and successful collaboration. During the collaboration and the preparation of the works, they were positively inspired by each other’s work and performances. Aka Høegh says the following about Peter Max-Jakobsen:
“His works are exciting and naked, his way is simple, and I got inspired from his life in the art world. He is a very fine and young artist”.
Peter Max-Jakobsen highlights also that he had a successful, inspiring and positive outcome throughout the collaboration with the Greenlandic artist:
“She is an adult lady with a long life experience. (…) Aka speaks an artistic language, which can be spoken outside Greenland. She is international, and even the world understands itself through her art. It is important in a project like this, when it is about a meeting between two artists”.
Before the vernissage, different performances will take place in front of Musikkens Hus, among others the Inuit Games, where all are welcome to participate and watch the talented performers.
