Stine Bylin Bundgaard, a PhD student at Aalborg University, has been associated with Arctic Consensus, in preparation of her PhD, which focused on the value of clusters. The thesis was submitted for evaluation in the summer, and is expected to be defended later this year.

At Arctic Business Networks membership meeting, Aug. 24th in the Arctic House, Stine Bylin Bundgaard presented her recently submitted PhD, with a focus on how cluster relationships occur, how they develop and how this development is maintained.

Stine’s presentation on the value of the clusters can be seen here (Please note that the presentation is in Danish).

In the PhD thesis, Stine used Arctic Business Network as a case study. She explored, through extensive qualitative interviews, how the cluster operates and identified models, which can produce results for the network. One of Stine’s findings was that the greater the commitment, the greater the benefit is for members of the network.
